2/14/2023 0 Comments Duke nukem 3d wad![]() ![]() I never tried downgrading a map before, but I suppose in some cases, as long as the geometry agrees with each other, it probably can be done. For Duke 3D to DOOM II, well, good luck, to me, the other way around is a lot more logical. It's almost like porting from DOOM to Wolfenstein 3D, that would be impossible, because Wolf 3D had right angles, and everything was on one floor. There are things in the Build engine that the DOOM engine is not capable of, so porting in the direction of converting from the new to the old is sort of weird to do, and not always effective. Yeah, also DOOM II doesn't support the angled floors/ceilings, either, don't forget that, among other things. For Ultimate Doom, it plays Duke Nukem 3D music from the remastered tracks from the Megaton Edition port. This is my 1st ever mod of any kind so please don't be harsh. The songs mostly consists of Duke Nukem 3D themes & Total Meltdown from the PSX port. ![]() ![]() If any one knows of such a tool, I want it too : ). A Duke Nukem music mod for the classic Doom games meaning Ultimate Doom, Doom 2 & Final Doom. You would also probably need a third utility to build the nodes and their related structures. That's an odd request, although it is somewhat doable.Ĭonverting MAP's back to WAD would be much easier than the reverse, although you do understand that some things that work in Duke (such as most shading, room-over-room, virtually all level effects) are impossible to convert over. ![]()
